Collection and processing of personal data

We may process personal data that you provide directly, for example when contacting us by email, telephone or contact form. We may also process technical data generated when you visit the website, such as IP address, date and time of access, browser type, device information, pages visited and log data. If third-party services are integrated into the website, we may receive or share limited technical information with those providers to the extent described below.

Purpose of data processing

We process personal data to operate and secure the website, respond to inquiries, prepare offers and proposals, establish and manage client relationships, provide consulting services, maintain business records, improve our communications and services, comply with legal obligations and, where permitted, carry out limited business development activities. Website-related technical data is processed for website operation, security and requested functionality, not for analytics, marketing, profiling or comparable tracking unless this Privacy Policy is updated accordingly.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, processing may be based on consent, performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests, including operating a secure website, responding to business inquiries, managing client relationships and developing our consulting services. Under Swiss law, we process personal data in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, good faith, transparency, proportionality, purpose limitation and data security.

Recipients and service providers

We may disclose personal data to service providers and business partners where this is necessary for website hosting, IT support, communication tools, analytics, professional advisory services, contract performance or legal compliance. Such recipients may process personal data only for the relevant purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and data protection safeguards.

International data transfers

Personal data may be processed in Switzerland, the European Economic Area and other countries in which our service providers operate. Where personal data is transferred to countries that do not provide an adequate level of data protection, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, contractual protections or other measures permitted under applicable Swiss and EU data protection law.

Contact forms

If you contact us through the website or by email, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and potential follow-up communication.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses only cookies and similar technologies that are technically necessary to operate the website, ensure security and provide requested functions. No analytics, marketing, profiling or comparable non-essential tracking technologies are used unless this Privacy Policy and the Legal Notice / Impressum are updated accordingly.

Third-party services

We do not currently use Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight Tag or comparable non-essential tracking technologies. If third-party services such as analytics tools, social media integrations, embedded fonts, maps, videos, newsletter tools or marketing technologies are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to identify the provider, purpose, categories of data processed, cookie or tracking technology used, retention period, international-transfer safeguards and any consent or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including responding to inquiries, maintaining client and business records, performing contracts, complying with statutory retention obligations and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Contact inquiries are generally retained for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up communication. Business and accounting records may be retained for the statutory periods applicable under Swiss law.

Data security

cirum GmbH (in formation) implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If the GDPR applies, you may also contact the competent EU or EEA supervisory authority.
